The thickness of the mylar bag is 5 mil and it has an added internal layer of aluminum foil which provides excellent durability protects your food against oxygen, moisture and sunlight to ensure longer food storage life. EASY TO USE & SEAL : The resealable mylar food storage bags are reusable. When storing food for an extended period of time, heat seal with a vacuum sealer, hair straightener, or hot iron. Use the oxygen absorbers in the mylar bag to ensure they do not fail due to air exposure after the first use. SIZE & PACK : The pack includes 3 different sizes of 100 pcs mylar food storage bags with 100 pcs of 300cc oxygen absorbers and labels. 35 pcs large size mylar bags (1 gallon), 40 pcs of medium size mylar bags (1 quart) and 25 pcs of small mylar bags 4”x6”. All bags have 5 mil thickness. WIDE USAGE : Suitable for grains, rice, oats, beans, coffee beans, freeze-dried products, cookies, nuts, candies, tea, dog treats, and other wide range products. NOTE : Air contains roughly 20% oxygen and 80% nitrogen. Oxygen absorbers only remove oxygen, not air. The air left in the container is mostly nitrogen and will not harm the food or allow insects to grow. As a result of the remaining nitrogen in the package, the final packaging may not appear to be "vacuum-packed".
