Description
These coin silver dinner forks by John Polhemus for Bailey and Company are 7 7/8" long and weigh 248 grams all together. These forks are both long and, at just over 2 troy ounces each, reasonably heavy. Each fork has nicely engraved handles, leaves and a bow around the cartouche. In the cartouche, an elaborate triple monogram, JRD, each letter engraved differently-- the D for instance with horizontal lines, while the J has vertical dots. Each fork is marked on the back Bailey & Co, sterling, and for John Polhemus.
